World health organization Project
W.H.O (Jordan)
- November 2008
INTRODUCTION
Between 2008 and 2009 I worked with the World Health Organization on two separate assignments in four different countries. Our main objective was to document life with multi-drug resistant tuberculosis; a highly infectious respiratory disease caused by a bacteria. Starting in Egypt and fishing in Pakistan; with stops in Syria and Jordan along the way; We traveled seeking patients, families, healthcare workers, and government officials. We heard their stories, witnessed their efforts, attempted to understand their struggles, documented some of their triumphs. Below is a glimpse of this eye-opening experience.
